Narrow high street road with coloured houses on each side.

About

This route takes you through the stunning village of Coggeshall and an opportunity to visit West Street Vineyard, a family-owned, family-run restaurant in the Essex countryside. At West Street, great local sustainable wine and food is championed in a relaxed setting for all the family to enjoy. The West Street ethos is to offer the ultimate in English fine wines combined with fabulous local food in a contemporary and environmentally friendly wine barn, to create a memorable experience with family and friends.

Another great place to stop is Halstead, a traditional market town with the River Colne running through the heart of it. A beautiful river walk runs alongside the river. The town is home to numerous independent boutique shops, family butchers & bakers, cafés, restaurants; a wealth of floral attractions, buildings built by the Courtauld’s family and two beautiful Churches.

This route is largely on quiet roads, suitable for adults, giving you the option of either 10mile, 20 mile or 30 mile rides.  The routes include lots to see and plenty of opportunities to stop and refuel.
